A Viking/Norse settlement is evidenced and displayed at L’Anse aux Meadows, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is noted for its possible connection to the attempted colony of Vinland by explorer Leif Ericson. The grass huts and foundations in display the reconstructed parts of the settlement.
