The picturesque fishing village of Quidi Vidi (pronounced Kiddy Viddy) is nestled around “the gut” (Quidi Vidi Harbour), an accessible cove within the city of St. John’s, Newfoundland Labrador. Quidi Vidi is a vibrant tourist site with colorful boats that make use of its fishing stages and wharves. Boats of Quidi Vidi was commissioned by a collector upon viewing one of my other finished artworks entitled Quidi Vidi View. He wanted to see “the gut” filled with a variety of boats making it even more colourful.
